Before you start
- A free Cloudflare account (runs the app).
- A free GitHub account (Cloudflare keeps your copy of the code there).
- About two minutes. Nothing to install on your computer.
Steps
Click "Deploy to Cloudflare"
Use the button below or on the GitHub page. It opens Cloudflare's deploy screen.
Sign in to Cloudflare and GitHub
Create free accounts if you don't have them. Cloudflare copies the OpenRepairPOS code into a repository in your GitHub account and builds the app from it.
Click Deploy
Keep the suggested names or choose your own. Cloudflare creates the app and its database (a Durable Object with built-in SQLite). This takes about two minutes.
Open your new address
Cloudflare shows an address like openrepairpos.yourname.workers.dev. Open it right away.
Create your owner account
Enter your shop name, your name, email and a password (8+ characters). Tick "Add sample data" to explore with example tickets and parts first.
Set your shop details
Settings → Store: phone, address, hours, sales tax rate and time zone. Settings → Tickets: your statuses, repair types and checklist.
Create your account straight after deploying. The first person to open a new install becomes its owner. If you can't do it right away, add a variable named SETUP_CODE in Cloudflare (Workers → openrepairpos → Settings → Variables) first; setup will then ask for that code.
Optional next steps
- Your own domain: Cloudflare → Workers → openrepairpos → Settings → Domains & Routes, add e.g. repairs.yourshop.com. Then update Settings → Store → Public URL so tracking links use it.
- Text and email updates to customers: add TWILIO_SID, TWILIO_TOKEN, TWILIO_FROM and/or RESEND_API_KEY, EMAIL_FROM as secrets in the same Variables screen.
- Claude or ChatGPT: connect in about 30 seconds.
- Your team: Settings → Users. Unlimited users.
Updates
Your install is a copy in your GitHub account and does not update itself when a new version is released. An update notice and one-click update are first on the roadmap. Until then, see the update notes in the GitHub repository.
Prefer your own computer or server?
OpenRepairPOS also runs with Docker (docker compose up -d) or Node.js 22.5+ (npm start), with all data in one SQLite file. Claude and ChatGPT can only reach it if it's online over HTTPS. This is for technical users; instructions are in the README.
