Why it exists
Independent repair shops pay a monthly fee per store for software, then pay again for add-ons. We think the basics of running a repair counter (tickets, checkout, stock and reports) should be free, and that a shop should own its data.
Who makes it
OpenRepairPOS is an independent open-source project, maintained by its contributors and released under the MIT license. Anyone can read the code, suggest changes or build on it. The software is provided as-is, without warranty, as the license states.
How it's built
- Open source under the MIT license: anyone can read, change and reuse the code.
- Runs on Cloudflare Workers with a Durable Object SQLite database, or on any Node.js 22.5+ server or Docker.
- The same code runs both ways and is covered by end-to-end tests on both.
- Before the first release it was reviewed for business-logic, security and usability bugs, and every confirmed issue was fixed (November 3, 2026).
